Travel

Bologna is situated in the Emilia Romagna region. It is in the north east part of Italy, two hours from Milan by train. Beginning in January 2009, a high speed train service will be available between Milan and Bologna (roughly one hour).

If arriving by air:

Bologna "G. Marconi" Airport is about forty minutes by bus from the city center.
To travel from the Airport's Arrivals Terminal to Bologna Railway Station, take bus #35 or #20. Fares, routes and timetables are available on the ATC website.
Taxis are available outside the railway station or can be booked by telephoning COTABO Radio Taxi (+39 051 372727) or CAT Radio Taxi (+39 051 534141). Approximate fare is €35.

Bologna is a key railway junction and well linked to all major cities in Italy and abroad. Visit the website www.ferroviedellostato.it or contact the Call Center 892021 for train times (from abroad +39 06 68475475).
Bologna train station is close to the city center, 20 minutes walk from the main square "Piazza Maggiore".

If arriving by car:

A1 motorway from north or south, A14 motorway from the Adriatic coast, A13 motorway from Padua.
